It’s never too early to learn about the importance of saving and making smart money choices, which is why our first graders participated in the Future Scholar “Making Bank” contest. Using their creativity, they designed piggy banks illustrating things for which they would like to save money. At the same time, they explored the difference between wants and needs.
Ms. Nero joined our first-grade teachers to select first, second, and third prize winners. These students will be entered into a statewide contest for a chance to win a privately funded $500 college savings grant.
