Middle Level Social Studies Teacher

Essential Job Functions

● Drive Academic Success: Design and deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction aligned with South Carolina standards using data-driven differentiation and approved curricula.
● Manage Digital Tools: Maintain accurate, weekly updates in PowerSchool and manage Google Classroom as a hub for students and families.
● Foster Culture & Inclusion: Create a clean, positive, high-energy learning space while ensuring full compliance with student IEP, 504, and FERPA requirements.
● Engage the “Wolf Pack”: Model servant leadership and a “whatever-it-takes” mindset through active participation in PLCs, team meetings, and continuous professional growth.
● Partner with Families: Maintain transparent, proactive communication with families, including a weekly newsletter sharing upcoming learning goals.

Minimum Qualifications or Standards Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

● Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and a valid South Carolina Teaching License
● Compliance: Ability to pass a SLED criminal background check and provide a negative TB test.
● Skills & Abilities: Strong English communication, educational tech proficiency (Google Workspace, PowerSchool), and physical mobility to actively manage a classroom.
