Virtus Academy takes a Responsive Classroom approach to teaching that consists of well-designed practices intended to create a safe, joyful, and engaging classroom and school community. This approach emphasizes helping students develop their academic, social, and emotional skills in a learning environment that is developmentally responsive to their strengths and needs. Our behavior expectations focus on leadership and ownership. You can see this modeled daily by our older students, who take their responsibilities seriously as members of our Safety Patrol, Patriot Team, and Reading Buddies program.
