Volleyball Victory for Virtus Academy

The Virtus Academy Wolfpack is celebrating its first-ever Volleyball Tournament Victory in the Lower Division Silver Bracket of the Next Level Athletics Tournament held at Wilson Hall in Sumter on Wednesday, October 9.

The school’s 4th-6th grade team defeated Heathwood Hall, Wilson Hall, and Cathedral Academy to win the prize.

“This is a monumental victory for Virtus as this is the first year we’ve had a 4-6th grade team compete,” said Athletic Director & Coach Jordan Washington. “It’s a young, new team, but that didn’t stop them. They played their hearts out and made us all proud.”

Virtus Academy’s B Team is advancing to the tournament’s Final 4, where they will play East Clarendon at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 12.

“Come out and cheer them on,” Coach Washington added.
