The McKinney-Vento Act is a federal law that ensures students experiencing homelessness have equal access to public education. It helps remove barriers by providing support such as school enrollment assistance, supplies, and access to services so students can attend and succeed in school regardless of their housing situation. Virtus Academy works in accordance with the Charter Institute at Erskine’s McKinney-Vento Policy to ensure all students receive the protections and services they are entitled to.
